PVS Citrix Server shows “The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed.”

If you uses PVS and receive the following error message on your Citrix Servers you may not have correctly configured your PVS implementation.

First of all… to resolve these issue quickly shut down the affected server(s) and reset the computer accounts in PVS console.

When you now boot your Servers again everything should be fine.

But the question is, what caused the problem? There are a few things that has to be in place in order to run PVS smoothly.

First: Check that you have diabled the automatic machine account password change by gpo

Please check if you have additionaly a “Maximum Password Age” Policy in place. If yes please specify a longer value than you have definded in PVS.

If not it should be the default value of 42 days. So everything is fine.

Second: Enable the automatic password change in PVS (Sites -> Site -> Server -> right click PVS Server – Options)

Third: Check the vDisk Porperties
